Guided tours

During the excursion one will learn about the granary built by writer's father Peeter Hansen, the replica of the birth home of A.H. Tammsaare, also the dwelling house of the writers brother August and the complex of the crofters dwellings.

It is also possible to take a walk in the Cultural Grove where the laureates of the Järvamaa Cultural Prize have planted trees. From the grove one can continue the walk to the Herder's Stone.
The excursion will take approximately 1 to 1, 5 hours.

Theme excursions

 1.1.         In the footsteps of Truth and Justice

During 1,5 -2 hours one can have a closer look at Tammsaare-Põhja (Northern) farm (also a cottager’s place), guide will associate places with the first part of the novel and the story of Hansen family.

In a dwelling house there’s an exhibition with an overview of writer’s oeuvre and its interpretations.

A guided tour ends in Cultural Grove of Järvamaa.

1.2.          Estonian farm in the 19th century

During 1,5 hours one can have an overview how Tammsaare-Põhja farm looked like back centuries ago and also how and with peasants in central of Estonia worked and lived at that time.

If the group is bigger than 39 people that we recommend that you divide your group between 2 guides. We are ready to work with 3 groups at the same time. This is for your own interests because our rooms are quite small and information given by a guide does not reach to everyone (because of very big groups the quality is lower and we do not want that).
